SUMMARY:Immerse Beginnings Course
DESCRIPTION:Weds\, Jan 15-Mar 12\, Little T Annex upstairs (403 King St W) – The Immerse BEGINNINGS Course – Due to popular demand the Immerse Bible reading course will be back this fall. The course is 9 weeks and involves reading the Bible in an accessible book club format. (Wed\, Oct 15-Dec 10\, 6:45-8:30pm) This time we will be Immersing ourselves in the first 5 books of the Bible in the ‘Beginnings’ volume. We would love to welcome back all who completed Immerse Messiah in the spring and anyone else interested in digging deeper into the Bible and finding out what Immerse is all about. \nYou’ll get your own (free) Immerse book and be invited to do some reading each week (either from the actual book or via a streamed audio version).  And like real book clubs\, it doesn’t matter if you finish your reading; just come and discuss! This will be our last meeting of the year and will be an in-person Christmas party and lunch. We will be having 2 illustrated talks and a great lunch.  There is no charge\, no registration\, but there will be the possibility of helping with the cost. To get here\, think of TTC Parliament bus (#65) every 15minutes from Castle Frank subway station or the King streetcar (#504). Come and celebrate this season with us!

SUMMARY:Christmas Celebrations!
DESCRIPTION:Sun\, Dec 14 (after each service) – Please come and join us for our Christmas Celebrations on Sunday December 14 – after enjoying our special Lessons & Carols services.  There will a very special Christmas Coffee Hour after the 9am service\, Christmas Lunch after the 10.45am and Christmas Treats after the 6.30pm. \nOf course this works so well because the congregation has always been very generous with bringing food to share. We would like finger food that can be eaten needing only a plate and serviette.  (Nothing that needs a knife & fork\, etc.) \nPlease let Diane Brailey (dianembrailey@gmail.com) know what you could bring to\, so that we know there is a good variety. Sign-up sheets will be available after the morning services on Nov 23\, 30 and Dec 7. \nFinger food should be pre-plated and brought by those attending that service to the kitchen BEFORE the service. It will be organized  & ready to enjoy after the service.  ** For the evening celebration\, please just bring your goodies and treats along and we’ll share them together after the service. \nAs always this is being organized by the Chancel Guild with the help of many other willing hands for set up and clean up.  We will decorate the room and do our best to make it a happy day for everyone!  Many thanks to everyone – Morning Chancel Team (Diane\, Dianne\, Liz\, Nancy\, Darlene\, Elena\, Thelma\, Ian & David)

DESCRIPTION:Wed\, Dec 17\, 7:30pm –  This is an intimate Communion service centred on the comfort and love of God\, rather than the “making merry” celebrations of our culture during this season. This service will be held in person and livestreamed. \nJoin us as we share our lack or loss or sorrow and seek to open ourselves to a deeper and more profound celebration – one that has room for sorrow in the midst of joy and\, perhaps\, joy in the midst of our sorrow. \nIf you are remembering the loss of a loved one\, you are welcome to bring a picture of that loved one to share during the prayers of the people. But there are many other kinds of loss and grief\, both tangible and intangible. Some are experiencing and grieving alienation and breakdown in family relationships.
