***NEW*** Hello from Paula!

As I read through the previous Justice Corner posts, one thing quickly became clear: ‘acting justly’ at Little T can take on many forms.

It can look like praying for an ever-rapidly growing Ebola crisis in the DR of Congo, or helping a refugee family cling to the hope of finding safety and stability in the midst of what seems like the opposite. It could mean the giving of our finances to provide coffee and dessert to a neighbouring community, or our time assembling shelf-stable, highly nutritious and delicious meals through Provisions by Valerie. And sometimes, it’s as simple as making fresh, affordable food available to our neighbours through the Good Food Market, or showing up to provide a much needed connection piece while they shop.

Whatever the form, justice involves action (act justly), being the kind of person who wants to respond with compassion and generosity (love mercy), and an ongoing posture of humility (walk humbly with our God), as instructed in Micah 6:8. 

As I begin my journey here at Little T as Pastor of Justice and Compassion, it is my desire to continue to build on the great work that you are already a part of here, while simultaneously listening to where God may be inviting us to next. My hope is that Little Trinity would be known – that Jesus would be known – as a safe and compassionate place and a light in Corktown.
