Children’s Ministry at Little Trinity

Our Approach to Ministry

Little Trinity Church has long been a community that welcomes and deeply values children. Our Children’s Ministry aims to lead children and their families to prayer, a deeper understanding of Scripture, fuller participation in the life of the Church, and a hope born of sure knowledge of God’s plan and their place in that plan.

Our Sunday morning ministry follows the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) approach to faith formation, which recognizes the integrity of the child’s spiritual life and relationship with God. It provides a rich, intentional setting for the nourishing of that relationship in the context of community, and supports the developmental needs of the child.

In Children’s Ministry, we…

  • desire to make every child feel welcome;
  • recognize that children, like all of us, are on a journey of spiritual formation, guided by the Holy Spirit;
  • nurture that formation at church by providing space and freedom to worship and encounter God as fully participating members;
  • nurture that formation at home by walking alongside parents—the primary catechists in their children’s lives.

Volunteer Needs and Info

We are always happy to welcome new volunteers to help with our Children’s Ministry programs. Volunteers must have been a part of the Little Trinity community for at least a year, and must also complete several screening requirements, including a vulnerable sector check.

All roles are on a monthly rotation, where volunteers serve once or twice a month from September to June.

For Fall 2025, we are looking for welcome leaders to sign in children at the 9 a.m. service, as well as assistants in the atria with children in three age categories: 3-6, 6-8, 9-10. We also need nursery leader at both morning services. If you are interested in any of these positions, please fill out our application form and we will be in touch!
