“Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.” These were the Apostle Paul’s words of exhortation to the Galatian Christians and they continue to apply to the church today.
Here at Little Trinity we have a community where much of that loving care happens quite organically, and it is beautiful to behold. But there can be times when our distress feels like it’s too much for our friends and we realize we need more formal care.
Because confidentiality is central to pastoral care, much of what occurs in pastoral care is done behind closed doors, and many may not even be aware of the range of care available:
- We have our pastoral staff: Tim, Karen and Andrew are available for short-term pastoral care, and my role here at Little T is primarily for the purpose of pastoral care. We consider it a privilege to walk with you in the difficult seasons of your lives.
- We also have 9 Stephen Ministers – with 2 more nearing the end of their training – and 17 active Lay Pastoral Team members who are equipped to meet regularly with members of our community to listen to, and support people in the difficult times of life.
So if you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck by circumstances in your life and you realize you need some more support please, please reach out. You can contact me as the point person for pastoral care, or any one of the pastoral staff or the office and your request would be forwarded to one of us.
Despite how you may feel at times, you are NOT alone.
James Beck, our Lay Pastoral Associate conducts focused one-on-one meetings to provide Christian spiritual guidance. Please email James Beck or call the office to book an appointment.

Stephen Ministries is a system through which Little Trinity volunteers are trained to provide Christian caregiving to members of our community. For more information about how to connect with a Stephen Minister or to become a trained Stephen Minister, please contact Anita Davis or James Beck.
